Complaints

SERC is committed to responding to complaints promptly and respectfully. If you have a complaint about a service you have received, you can bring the matter to our Director of Programs.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH MY COMPLAINT?

When your complaint is received, the Director will gather information from you and the staff member(s) involved, if any. A telephone or in-person meeting may be arranged to discuss your complaint; if you wish you can invite a personal support person to the meeting. A decision regarding your complaint will be made by the Director of Programs, and you will be notified about the decision through e-mail and/or letter mail.

WHAT IF I DISAGREE WITH THE DECISION?

You may appeal the decision by contacting the Executive Director of SERC. The Executive Director will review all information gathered and may interview both you and the staff involved. The Executive Director will then advise you of their final decision.

IS THIS THE FINAL APPEAL?

If you feel that the results of the above investigations have not resolved your complaint, then you can make a direct appeal in writing to the Board of Directors.
