Join us for a half-day service provider training opportunity that will enhance your understanding of Female Circumcision (also known as Female Genital Cutting - FGC, or Female Genital Mutilation - FGM). This training is ideal for those working with immigrant, and/or refugee women, or women from communities where FGC is practiced.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Examine your own personal and cultural values related to Women’s Sexuality and FGC
  • Become aware of the types of FGC along with possible health consequences
  • Be able to identify strategies for responding in a culturally safe way to the issue of FGC
