Sacred Lives - Preventing Sexual Exploitation amoung Winnipeg's Aboriginal Youth through Peer Based Education.

This DVD is a tool that can enhance preventative educational programming for children and youth. It presents one scenario of vulnerability and risk that youth face. It was developed by a group of experiential Aboriginal youth who asked the questions:

  • Which relationships are most influential to youth between the ages of 13 and 15?
  • Which environments place youth at increased risk of becoming involved in sexual exploitation?
  • How does the Aboriginal worldview of “respect” that we learn about in the Kaapapako Miikiwaap (Lodge Teachings) prevent sexual exploitation?
