SRH Week 2020

Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Week (SRH Week) is just around the corner!  SRH Week is a yearly campaign designed to raise awareness on sexual and reproductive health and promote resources to improve community health in Canada. This year SRH Week is from February 10-14, and SERC’s theme is #SexEdForEveryone.

When it’s done right, sex-ed means people have the information and skills they need to be healthy and live a full life. As a society, it means we can address big issues like rising rates of STIs, discrimination, and gender-based violence. In fact, it saves lives because it tackles the root causes of negative health outcomes.

Sex-ed gives us the right information to better take care of our bodies. Sex-ed also shapes a culture of equality where everyone can thrive and be safe from violence and discrimination and teaches us the skills to nurture healthy relationships. Learn more from Action Canada.

We are celebrating by having our Sexual & Reproductive Health Facilitators answer a question/day on our Instagram! Check out SERC’s Instagram for our latest #SRHWeek2020 updates!
