Ran from October 15, 2022, to November 5, 2022

Totally Outright was a free community health leadership program that equipped 2STLGBQIA+ folks with the community connection, health knowledge, and health promotion skills they needed to be leaders in their communities.

Over four Saturdays, we covered a range of health topics that matter to our community, including Queer sexual and reproductive health, Trans health access, safer substance use, sex and pleasure, building family, and (dis)ability and sex.

By the end, participants gained skills to support our community and had the opportunity to design and launch a local community health promotion activity. This activity was called Hallway Talks, a video series featuring local drag performers that focused on queer community health and well-being.

Note: You may have noticed that we updated the acronym from 2STLGBQ+ to 2STLGBQIA+. Over the last year (2024), we’ve been discussing our acronym use at SERC. During this time, we created a working group, conducted a staff survey that was reviewed by our leadership team, spoke to local community members, and examined what our partner agencies were doing nationally. After compiling these findings, the leadership team and the staff working group chose to move forward with changing the acronym.
